Saturday August 7th saw RCEN in action with the Fox Hill Run in the morning followed by a raffle selling session for the Red Cross in the afternoon.

The Fox Hill Run is RCEN's longest running "hands-on" community development program aimed at providing help to households in need in the Fox Hill area, currently there are seven stops to be made .

A team of dedicated Rotarian's gather at the crack of dawn every other Saturday to bring, not just a small bag of consumables, but also a little ray of sunshine to those on "the run".

The team is currently headed by long time runners, Gary Sweeting and Corrine Laville who are joined by different Rotarians each week.  Infact we make it mandatory for all new members to participate in the run within the first few months of joining the RCEN so that they get to see what being a Rotarian is all about.

Pictures of the most recent Fox Hill Run are in our photo journals section on our home page.

Red Cross raffle selling is another annual project for us.  This year again saw a team of RCEN volunteers camped outside Kelly's Home Centre raising funds in time for their grand drawing being held on August 28th.

In the picture are Bob McDonald, Tanya McCartney, Corinne Laville & Davin Lakin outside Kelly's.
